It began with two friends talking about houses while quarantined together during the pandemic, one a boundless creator, one an analytical mastermind, and both with a passion for beautiful design. We didn’t know at the time what it would be like working together, but it has been even better than we could have hoped.
After experiencing success selling fixer upper homes that we designed and renovated from top to bottom, our business followed a natural evolution towards residential design. We made the shift towards working with design clients because we truly love the collaborative process.

Hailing from Albion, Dee Dee brings a lifetime of creativity and a hands-on approach to the design world. After years of flipping houses with her father and exploring artistic outlets—from professional photography to crafting unique art pieces—she co-founded Cedar + Deed to channel her passion for big, transformative projects. A mother of six, her journey has been anything but ordinary, blending family life with her love for design and travel. Now that her kids are older, she wanted to go back to her roots, reimagining homes with a fresh perspective and an adventurous spirit.
With a background as dynamic as her designs, Erin brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to her role as Co-Founder and Principal Designer. A former elementary classroom teacher for over 20 years, Erin later transitioned to a leadership role as Director of Customer Success and Project Manager at an English Language Arts curriculum company. Seeking a career closer to home to spend more time with her daughters—one in college and one in high school—she co-founded Cedar + Deed to combine her passion for creativity with her deep organizational expertise. Born in California, Erin’s journey has taken her across the country, living in many diverse and interesting places from Oregon to New York to Hawaii. Her many moves have given her a unique perspective on how homes can evolve into truly personal spaces, inspiring her thoughtful and innovative approach to design.
